We  drove the entire 444 miles  of the Natchez trace parkway from Natchez, Mississippi to just south of Nashville in two days.  there are no billboards or retail stores along the way.   if you need gas, food, etc. you must get off the parkway.   with a speed limit of 50 mph it is a very peaceful drive with many historical sites along the way.  The pictures will show several pictures of the original trace.  at one section, you can actually drive on 1.5 miles of the original trace.  except for the northern portion in Tennessee where you drive through some farmland, for the most part you are driving with trees on both sides.  there are many hiking trails.  unlike the blue  ridge parkway, the Natchez trace parkway is virtually flat with no sharp curves. it was a very easy, enjoyable drive.
